Since 1994, The Sandbagger Corp. has manufactured sandbag filling machines used by military and civilian agencies the world over for flood control applications, base exercises, and a host of other activities. Recently, 6 mechanical (auger model) machines were used by defense contractors and U.S. forces for Operation Joint Guard in Albania as part of the United State's contribution to NATO's peacekeeping mission there. Since arriving in the country, the machines have filled over 1,000,000 bags operating 14 hours a day without any problems.  Six  Sandbaggers are currently supporting operations in Kosovo,  having already produced 6,000,000 bags,  with estimates of 22,000,000 more bags this year. These sandbags are being used to build bunkers, culverts and to fill Hesco Bastion™ containers.

Time-saving and user friendly features of The Sandbagger machines have proven an alternative to filling sandbags with shovels. Four people filling bags simultaneously using The Sandbagger can fill approximately 1,600 bags per hour. Utilizing a front-end loader or skid steer loader to keep the two cubic yard hopper full of sand, the U.S. Army estimates it would take "at least 720 strong people" (working in 240-person, 8-hour shifts over a 24 hour period without a break) to match the output of six motorized Sandbagger units operated by 36 people in the same time.

Based upon comments and requests from the users, The Sandbagger Corp. has developed a conveyor system to assist with passing the filled sandbags back to the bag closers or stackers. Additionally, a trailer has been designed to make transport of the Sandbagger a one person operation. Loading and unloading of a machine can be accomplished in a matter of minutes.
